Part-time Board member
W. Augustus (Gus) Richardson, QC, is a member of the Ontario (1984) and the Nova Scotia (1990) bars and was awarded his Queen’s Counsel in 2005. He holds a B.A. (Honours), an M.A. and an LLB (Honours). After almost 20 years of practice as a civil litigator, in 2005 he started his own practice as a full-time mediator and arbitrator. He is currently an alternate Vice-Chair of the Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board. He has served on several advisory committees of the Law Reform Commission of Nova Scotia and, more recently, on the Steering Committee of the Nova Scotia Supreme Court’s Civil Procedure Rules Revision project.
Mr. Richardson was appointed as a part-time Board member on May 14, 2010 for a period of five years.
