Section IV: Presentation of Study Data on Benefits and Working Conditions

This section presents data (tables may be accessed through the links listed on the right) on the incidence and characteristics of selected benefits and working conditions in Canada’s health sector for each of the following occupational groups:

  • DE - Dentistry
  • MD - Medicine
  • ND - Nutrition and Dietetics
  • NU - Nursing Sciences
  • OP - Occupational and Physical Therapy
  • PH - Pharmacy
  • PS - Psychology
  • SW - Social Work
  • VM - Veterinary Medicine

The totals of establishments for each reported element are not consistent as an organization may have reported different provisions for incumbents of different matched occupations. Similarly, the number of establishments and incumbents reported in the tables may fluctuate from one element to another as it is based on the data received from participating organizations.

Technical notes were included, when required, at the bottom of some tables to provide explanations or additional information on the data reflected in the tables.


Definitions

Abbreviations appearing in the following tables have these particular and consistent meanings:

  • # Est.: the number of establishments.
  • # Inc.: the number of incumbents.

Disclosure Rule and Absence of Data

To preserve the confidentiality of data supplied by participating establishments, the minimum disclosure rule for this section is three establishments.

  • Asterisk (*): An indication that the data is restricted by the disclosure rule.
  • Dash (-): An indication that no data was reported.
