DE - Dentist

Summary of Responsibilities: Plans, organizes, coordinates and assesses the implementation of dental care programs along with training and prevention and dental health promotion in a large hospital or a geographic region.

Dentist: Primarily in charge of administering a dental care program in a geographic region or in a large hospital, diagnosis and treatment may constitute a secondary responsibility. Management responsibility involves monitoring a staff of dentists and paradental employees and coordinating their activities, reviewing reports submitted by junior dentists, assessing the quality of care, and developing and administering a budget.

Summary of Responsibilities: Conducts and manages health and pharmacology programs and carries out public health research work. Treats diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of the human body. Performs the duties of a physician expert for government bodies.
Main Duties: Vary depending on the areas of activity.

Medical Officer - General Practice: Delivers care and conducts medical examinations for patients in care facilities. Evaluates the medical status of agency employees and determines whether they meet the eligibility criteria for the job.

Medical Officer - Medical Expertise: Provides medical advice and writes expert medical opinions reports on disability cases, the payment of benefits and treatment administered. Evaluates the delivery of professional services, medical information and causes of death.

Public Hygiene Medical Officer: Conducts, analyzes and evaluates medical research. Incumbents are mainly responsible for conducting programs to promote public hygiene and population health.

Department Head Physician: Manages a specialized department, unit or section in hospitals, clinics or other institutions.

ND - Nutritionist and Dietitian

Summary of Responsibilities: Evaluates the nutritional status of an individual and/or a population by planning, implementing and monitoring nutritional treatment plans and/or nutrition programs. Main duties: these will vary depending on the areas of activity.

Dietitian - Clinical Nutrition: Evaluates the eating habits and nutritional status of an individual, develops and applies nutritional treatment plans, develops normal or therapeutic menus adapted to the individual’s needs, monitors nutrition programs, provides individual or group training, and conducts clinical research.

Community Nutritionist (advisory): Examines the nutritional status of populations and carries out group sessions, individual consultations and public education. Develops educational materials and tests strategies for delivering health programs.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Clinical Psychologists: Assesses, diagnoses and treats behavioral, emotional and cognitive disorders and uses psychotherapy techniques to help patients or clients acquire the means to maintain or enhance physical, intellectual, emotional, social and interpersonal functioning. Conducts or participates in theoretical and applied research programs to contribute to clinical knowledge and psychological treatment methods.

Industrial Psychologists: Evaluates, develops tools for and provides advice on human resource management. Activities include designing staffing models; researching industrial and organizational psychology; and developing assessment tools, conceptual assessment models and competency profiles. Other activities include providing career guidance services; quality control of tools and services and training for managers, human resources advisers, assessed employees, client departments and agencies, and levels of government.

Chief or Department Head: Plans, coordinates and directs the activities of an institution’s or a community’s psychology department.

Provides scientific services and advice about epidemiology and health surveillance regulatory issues including every level of the food chain (animal, human, food products and methods of disease transmission).

Veterinary Pharmacologist: Conducts research and analysis to assess the effectiveness and safety of veterinary medication as well as the validity and appropriateness of information and data provided by manufacturers for research and homologation.
