The employer refused to pay the grievor the $9 meal allowance provided for in the collective agreement when an employee “. . . works three (3) or more hours of overtime immediately before or immediately following the employee’s scheduled hours of work . . .” – the parties agreed that the grievor had worked three hours of overtime immediately following his shift on a designated holiday – the adjudicator concluded that the meal allowance was payable even though the overtime was worked on a designated holiday.

Grievance allowed.
