Carty and Treasury Board (Industry Canada)
Before: Y. Tarte
Appearances: Decided without an oral hearing
Decision rendered: December 16, 1999
Procedure – Abandonment of grievance – the grievor grieved a 12-hour financial penalty – at the hearing, the parties requested, and were granted, a postponement on the grounds that they had reached a potential agreement – the Board was further informed that the parties had failed to secure an agreement – the Board was later advised that the grievor was no longer represented by her bargaining agent – the Board wrote to the grievor on four occasions to enquire as to her intentions regarding the grievance – none of these letters were answered or returned as unclaimed or otherwise – the adjudicator was satisfied that the grievor did not wish to pursue her grievance.
Grievance denied.
