Amalgamation of bargaining units – Description of bargaining unit – Confirmation of certification – Subsection 103(2) of the Public Service Reform Act (PSRA) – Health Services Group – pursuant to section 101 of the PSRA, the Treasury Board specified and defined the occupational group known as the Health Services Group – immediately prior to this, the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada was the bargaining agent certified for the Dentistry Group bargaining unit, the Medicine Group bargaining unit, the Nutrition and Dietetics Group bargaining unit, the Nursing Group bargaining unit, the Occupational and Physical Therapy Group bargaining unit, the Pharmacy Group bargaining unit, the Psychology Group bargaining unit, the Social Work Group bargaining unit and the Veterinary Science Group bargaining unit, which are now covered by the new Health Services Group – pursuant to subsection 103(2) of the PSRA, the Board amalgamated these bargaining units into a new one, described as the Health Services Group bargaining unit – the bargaining agent's certifications had not been revoked under the Public Service Staff Relations Act and have been continued by virtue of subsection 103(1) of the PSRA – the Board confirmed the certification of the bargaining agent for the new bargaining unit.
