Compensation Analysis and Research Services was created by the Public Service Labour Relations Board (PSLRB) to provide the parties to collective bargaining in the federal public service with impartial, accurate and timely information on compensation.
Established with the enactment of the Public Service Labour Relations Act on April 1, 2005, the PSLRB’s Compensation Analysis and Research Services contribute to the promotion of harmonious labour-management relations by providing the parties to collective bargaining in the federal public service with impartial, accurate and timely information to support their negotiations over compensation issues. The PSLRB’s compensation analysis and research products and services also assist Arbitration Boards and Public Interest Commissions in carrying out their dispute resolution roles and are made available to the public.
The PSLRB monitors the compensation of employees in the public and private sectors, in occupations similar to those in the federal public service, by conducting compensation surveys, and by compiling, analyzing and publishing aggregated results. This includes information on rates of pay and on the incidence and characteristics of working conditions and benefits.
The PSRLB will also conduct any other market-based research relevant to compensation matters.
Compensation survey information will be available through the PSLRB’s website.
